The 40th Annual Scholar-Athlete Banquet of the Jack Grinold Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation will be held Sunday evening, May 3, 2015, at the Boston-Newton Marriott (DIRECTIONS) at the intersection of Route 128 and the Massachusetts Turnpike in Newton.
33 high school football players from the footprint of the Chapter who have excelled on and off the gridiron will be feted at the event which begins with a 6:00pm reception followed by the banquet at 7:00.
Three additional awards will be presented. The Ed Schluntz Contribution to Amateur Football Award will be presented to Dr. George Kovatch and the Ron Burton Distinguished American Award will be presented to Mr. Phillip Haughey.
The third award presented is the Jack Daly Award for Academics, Citizenship and Football that will be presented to Danny Guadagnoli, quarterback from Bentley University. The award goes to a player from an institution in the chapter footprint who excels at all three phases of the award title.
All tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be available for purchase at the door the night of the event.
Tickets must be purchased no later than FRIDAY, APRIL 23, 2015, at 6:00pm.
Tickets may be purchased with check, money order or credit card. People and institutions will be responsible for all reservations made, and there will be no refunds. Tickets are $65.00 per person. Award winners are provided complimentary meals.
